Baby Update #6

How far along: 29 weeks and measuring 29 weeks

Baby Bump: You better believe it. And that bump has spread to my rear end and thighs. Weird, because I thought a baby grew in my belly? 🙂

Maternity Clothes: Absolutely.

Total Weight Gain: +10 lbs. None since my last visit in March. Yay!!! Now that I’m in my 3rd trimester though, I’m fully expecting my weight gain to increase.

Cravings: really really really cold milk and water

Food that nearly makes me vomit when I think about it: Anything that may cause indigestion…which is basically everything.

Symptoms: Indigestion, indigestion, and more indigestion…and as a result of all that indigestion, a lot of manly burps. Yep. Lady-like would NOT be a fitting word to describe me right now.

Sleep: I have discovered that if I eat a bland dinner no later than 5 (to decrease the chance of indigestion) and use lavender lotion at night in combination with sleepy herbal tea, I average about 2 good nights of sleep per week (minus the constant bathroom interruptions).

Movement: Yes! He’s an octopus. I can feel him kicking/punching my sternum and hips at the same time, then he must do spins and twists because my entire belly looks like it’s having convulsions.

Gender: It’s a boy! Scott is his name. And let’s just go ahead and nip this in the bud: I’m not ok with calling him Scotty.

Belly button in or out: In

What I miss: Not getting exhausted after doing something so simple: like walking up a half flight of stairs.

Best Moment: Putting the crib together!

Biggest Challenge: Getting through the day on very little sleep
